Privacy Policy

DealBuddy is a sales workflow and commission-tracking app for automotive salespeople. This policy explains the information DealBuddy may collect and how that information is used to provide the app.
Information DealBuddy collects
DealBuddy may collect or store information you provide while using the app, including:
- Account information, such as your email address.
- Android beta signup information, such as the Google Play email address you provide, optional first name, whether you use Android, whether you work in automotive sales, and optional notes.
- Profile and dealership details, such as your name, dealership, rooftop, working days, and time zone.
- Customer and sales workflow information you enter, such as customer names, contact information, notes, tasks, pipeline stages, vehicle interest, sold deal data, gross, commission, pay plan, goals, and activity logs.
- Technical identifiers needed to authenticate your account and provide app functionality.
- If you choose to use the public pay-plan scanner, the pay-plan photos, screenshots, or PDF pages you submit for extraction and the structured compensation rules suggested from them.
- If the anonymous benchmark contribution choice remains selected when you submit the analyzer, the confirmed structured pay-plan terms and any optional broad dealership category, market segment, vehicle focus, and U.S. region you select. The contribution does not include the source files, dealership name, personal information, or exact location.
- If a DealBuddy user chooses to publish a personal referral page, the display name, public link, introduction, dealership name, public phone number, and public email address that user explicitly chooses to publish.
- If you submit a public referral form, your name, the phone number or email address you provide, optional vehicle interest and message, the time you consented to contact, and a one-way request fingerprint used to limit spam.
Your account and customer information
Your DealBuddy workspace is associated with your personal DealBuddy account and is available when you sign in. This describes access to the product; it does not determine legal ownership of customer information or override your dealership's policies, required CRM procedures, record-retention rules, or applicable law.
Information you must not store in DealBuddy
DealBuddy is designed for ordinary customer contact and sales-workflow information. Follow your dealership's privacy, security, and data-handling policies. Do not enter or upload sensitive nonpublic personal information, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, driver's license data, financial account or payment-card numbers, income or credit information, credit applications or reports, identity documents, or financing documents. DealBuddy does not replace your dealership's required systems of record.
How information is used
DealBuddy uses this information to provide the app's core functionality, including account access, pipeline tracking, daily activity tracking, task management, sold deal logging, pay plan goals, and commission estimates. Android beta signup information is used to manage the closed test invite list, send Google Play closed testing invite and opt-in instructions, and communicate about app testing or support.
Storage and service providers
DealBuddy data may be stored with backend and infrastructure providers used to operate the app. These providers help deliver authentication, database, hosting, and support functionality.
Pay-plan scanner
The public pay-plan scanner is optional. When you use it, the submitted pages travel through DealBuddy's hosting infrastructure to a private, DealBuddy-operated local extraction model. Readable PDF text is processed directly, while pages without readable text use local vision extraction. Files are used only to suggest compensation fields for your review and are discarded after the extraction request finishes. DealBuddy does not use the source files to train a model or create marketing profiles. Do not upload a page that contains sensitive personal information, identity documents, financial account information, or customer information. Remove or cover names, signatures, dealership identifiers, and other information that is not needed to understand the compensation rules.
Anonymous pay-plan benchmark
The public analyzer offers a clearly labeled contribution choice to help build DealBuddy's pay-plan benchmark. You may uncheck it and still receive the complete analysis. If it remains selected, DealBuddy stores only the confirmed structured compensation terms, whether the plan was manually entered or scanner-assisted, and any optional broad categories you choose to provide. Contributions are not tied to a DealBuddy account. A random removal token is stored in your browser so you can withdraw an anonymous contribution later. DealBuddy does not retain the uploaded pages with the benchmark contribution and does not use the benchmark to identify a person or dealership. Nationwide comparisons remain unavailable until at least 100 confirmed contributions exist, and a category comparison is not shown until that category contains at least 30 confirmed contributions.
Personal referral pages
A DealBuddy user may choose to create a public referral page and decides which profile and contact fields appear there. The page stays unavailable until that user explicitly turns it on and saves it. If you submit its contact form, the information you provide is delivered to the salesperson identified on that page so they can review your request and contact you. A submission does not enter the salesperson's customer pipeline automatically; the salesperson must accept it first. DealBuddy uses a one-way fingerprint of limited request information to rate-limit spam and does not display that fingerprint to the salesperson. Do not submit sensitive identity, credit, financial, or financing information through a referral page.
Advertising, tracking, and sale of data
DealBuddy does not sell personal data and does not use customer sales records for advertising. The app may use advertising-attribution and app-event tools to measure DealBuddy's own marketing performance. On platforms that require permission for tracking, DealBuddy requests that permission before using data for that purpose. After a successful Android beta signup, DealBuddy may send Meta a registration event containing a one-way hash of the signup email address and limited request data such as IP address and browser user agent. This is used only to measure DealBuddy advertising and improve campaign delivery; customer sales records are never included. DealBuddy's public free tools also record limited first-party step events, campaign parameters, and an anonymous session identifier. Those events do not contain document images, entered tool values, calculated results, customer information, or DealBuddy workspace data. DealBuddy does not provide a public user-generated content feed.
Account support and deletion
You can delete your account through the in-app Settings screen. The Delete Account page explains the in-app flow and how to contact support if you cannot access your account. When contacting support, please use the email address associated with your DealBuddy account when possible, or email accounts at dealbuddy.deals. To be removed from the Android beta invite list, contact accounts at dealbuddy.deals or privacy at dealbuddy.deals. Deleting a DealBuddy account also removes that account's public referral profile and the referral submissions it received. A visitor who wants a referral request removed may contact the salesperson through the public contact information on that page or contact DealBuddy privacy support.

Changes to this policy
DealBuddy may update this policy as the app changes. Material updates will be reflected by changing the effective date on this page.
